Walking and climbing are popular amongst the more active. Kintail offers splendid ridgewalking over the Five Sisters. Lochcarron is a good base for ranges on either side of Glen Carron and the Applecross peninsula has accessible mountain walking which can be enjoyed from the road over the Bealach na Ba.
